A Skeletonized Tribute to American Ingenuity

The Monticello is a 41mm timepiece featuring an in-house skeleton dial with Roman numerals and star-shaped hour markers, elegantly raised from textured, relieved areas. The dial is available in three distinctive finishes: Old Glory Blue and Old Glory Red, which pay tribute to the iconic colors of the American flag, and Charcoal Gray, a refined choice that complements the modern black rhodium finish of the movement. Each color offers a unique personality while maintaining the sophistication and timelessness of the Monticello’s design. The dial is further enhanced by heat-blued hands and adorned with satiné circulaire, adding depth and refinement.

Movement

A Skeletonized Masterpiece of Precision and Heritage

At the heart of the Monticello is the 1776 Caliber 430.1803, a hand-skeletonized movement crafted exclusively for this timepiece. Using traditional jeweler’s saws and files, the bridges and components have been meticulously open-worked to expose the exquisite details within. The ratchet wheel has been skeletonized to reveal the main wheel beneath, offering glimpses of the barrel’s intricate mechanics. The main barrel, housing the mainspring, has been open-worked and beveled, demonstrating our commitment to detail and craftsmanship, and is visible from both the front and back of the watch. Even the hour wheel, an in-house design tailored to complement the skeletonized aesthetic, has been meticulously beveled to ensure no detail is overlooked, no matter how small.

The movement is finished in black rhodium for a sleek, modern aesthetic, with contrasting polished screws and bolts plated in 18-karat rose gold. The crown wheel is adorned with 13 stars, a tribute to the original 13 colonies and to Thomas Jefferson, whose vision and ideals inspired this timepiece.
