Sagmore Hill Collection
The Sagamore Hill Collection pays tribute to the golden age of American watchmaking through timepieces that are anything but ordinary. These watches are created only when truly exceptional vintage movements become available—meaning we may have one, a few, or sometimes none at all. Each piece is a rare opportunity to preserve and celebrate American horological heritage.
Built around fully restored American movements over 100 years old—most originating from the legendary Waltham Watch Company—these limited-edition watches are housed in modern 40 mm stainless steel cases and fitted with our own enamel dials featuring raised Breguet numerals. They blend historic American craftsmanship with contemporary elegance. No two are exactly alike, each reflecting varying degrees of restoration and the unique character of its original components. Named after Theodore Roosevelt’s historic estate, the collection stands as a quiet, dignified revival of early American ingenuity.

The Sagamore Hill Collection is a tribute to the golden age of American watchmaking, built around the art of pocket watch conversion. Each piece begins with a vintage American movement that is more than 100 years old, carefully restored and reengineered for the wrist. These are not mass-produced watches—they are historically significant machines, reborn with integrity and refinement. Each timepiece is unique, carrying its own story and journey through time. Some have required extensive restoration, while others arrive in remarkably preserved condition, but all are treated with the same care, skill, and respect for their mechanical legacy.
Every Sagamore Hill timepiece is housed in a modern 40 mm stainless steel case and fitted with our own custom enamel dial, designed specifically for this collection. Each dial features raised Breguet numerals, offering a crisp, architectural contrast against the warmth of the antique movement beneath. This fusion of eras captures what makes a true conversion exceptional: a deep respect for the past, paired with design choices that make the watch feel purposeful and relevant today.
At the heart of most Sagamore Hill pieces lies a movement from the American Waltham Watch Company, once the largest watchmaker in the United States and a global pioneer in precision manufacturing. Based in Waltham, Massachusetts, the company was responsible for some of the most accurate and widely respected timepieces of its era. The 6-size movement, originally intended for pocket watches, is especially well suited to wristwear, offering classic American engineering at an ideal scale for modern proportions. Each movement is fully serviced, hand-regulated, and finished to preserve the integrity of its original form.
The collection takes its name from Sagamore Hill, the home of President Theodore Roosevelt during the same era when Waltham stood as the world’s foremost watch manufacturer. Sagamore Hill represented American strength, ambition, and a belief in craft and purpose—principles that define this collection as well.
Please note that the Sagamore Hill Collection is not part of our standard offering. These pieces are only created when extraordinary vintage movements become available and meet our exacting standards. Each example is made in limited quantity, and no two are alike. For those who appreciate history, precision, and enduring design, the Sagamore Hill Collection offers a rare and meaningful expression of American horology.
